Hushme is a personal acoustic device that protects speech privacy in open space environment. The device was launched at the biggest tech event CES 2017 giving a new direction to headphones. This device is basically introduced to shield the conversations from the world.
What The Device Holds For Users?
Hushme is the world's first ever voice mask for mobile phones. This device can be worn around the neck as wireless headphones and has integrated ear buds. It is put up in a masking mode where one can muffle up their conversation. The added advantage here is that when the device is in masking mode, the headphones, which are tied to a free application with the mobile phone allows the user to overlay masking sounds with your voice. These sounds are just a mere distraction for the one's outside to reduce their capability to hear the actual conversation.
The masking sounds which act as an output are from an external speaker situated on the outside of the headphone. These masking sounds include the wind, rain, rain, monkey and squirrel, Minion as well as Darth Vader and R2D2. The engineers behind this invention are Ukrainian's, although the company is U.S. based. Hushme is all set to plan a crowdfunding campaign later this year and the headphones are priced to be less than $200.
Future Expectations
The biggest market attention would be for all the folks in open-office environments who are looking for some privacy for their business calls. It would be a huge life saver for all the people who would not mind hearing other's conversation and private talks.
The most interesting here would be to see whether this works in the market or not. The response from the users would be a huge remark to the device and all eyes would be on the campaign when the actual price would be announced soon this year.
